Correction, its actually at 1.4
We were out in the yard today, and I caught here staring at her hands, almost thinking. I wish I had left more space on the left, but with the 85@ 1.4, I find forced to use my centerpoint for best autofocus. No eye contact here, but I still like it.
C&C always welcome on any aspect of image, including conversion.

Pretty little girl, nice sharp focus, technical aspects are good. I like the slight tone.
The background does nothing for me though. I find it tough to tell if she is outside or inside. The bokeh isn't enhancing anything. Now I understand dropping out the background if it is distracting but I think a photo needs more context than this; otherwise you might as well shoot it in a studio.

thanks for your comment Huff. I see your point. it was an outside shoot. the background does look a little better in color. Might have worked a little better stopped down.

I like it a lot but I would crop it a lot closer. She is a pumpkin!

Love the shot... to me, the DOF works to make the sole focus the girl... the fact the "girl" is your daughter is great. I would frame this one if it was my daughter. Very tender special moment you caught.

That's a gorgeous portrait! How do you like your 85 mm?

I love this picture. I would probably crop it down too (but maybe not, you never know til you try!) but it is definitely a beautiful moment captured!!

thanks everyone. Svetlana the 85 1.2 is too heavy, too expensive, and somewhat slow to focus. It is also my favorite lens and a true gem. I love it. I bought it as a novelty, planing to sell it after a while. Ended up selling my 85 1.8 instead, a great lens by its own right.
