Nice! I like the swirl of the water around the surfer. But the surfer seems unnaturally dark, because you can see the details on the surfboard.

I'm a newb, so take this with a grain of salt...

I love the swirling water, and the colors. Was the surfer posed, or was it a spontaneous capture? I only ask, because I get the impression from the picture that the surfer is "sauntering" forward.

I think I might have gone for a b/w pure instead of that tone, but that's just a preference.

nope it was "captured" as the surfer was getting out..

the sad thing is that is a BW conversion I havent really got into much post editing yet time/patents are lacking i just use the basic stuff on my mac. maybe thats why its not a true black and white.. if i turn it black and white and boost the color it tends to give it a really dark burnt sepia tone.. i like it but i see how some will not.
