Sandisk Extreme III 4G & 8G on a Canon 50D

Hi all, just a newbie question... wondering how many pics can you take if you shoot RAW for these two CF cards? Thanks in advance! :D

Maybe 200 and 400 respectively. Probably a bit less if you shoot highly-detailed subjects and/or use high ISO settings. But that's going to be an average.

On an empty 4GB card I get the following numbers of shots available in the little window:
RAW:
ISO 100 - 180
ISO 1600 - 160

sRaw1:
ISO 100 - 290
ISO 1600 - 256

sRaw2:
ISO 100 - 395
ISO 1600 - 343
