Wow - that really pops - the cathedral looks like it's been superimposed over a blue background. Nice shot. What software did you process it with?

The sky was actually close to that exact color. Late afternoon, deep deep blue. The processing was Photomatix, a total of 10 RAW shots for the first and nine for the second.

Very nice, was at a wedding there recently, but I didn't bring anything wide angle!

I never regret getting my 10-22mm well worth the cost. Well I got mine as a gift ;)

I never regret getting my 10-22mm well worth the cost. Well I got mine as a gift ;)I bought mine here from another POTN member (along with the 70-200) and have been thrilled with it. I'm taking it (and the 17-55) to Alaska next month in the hopes of seeing some northern lights myself. I hear they haven't been too good this year but are picking up a little now. I won't turn down a spectacular display, but I'll settle for seeing some display!

clean HDR... nice work! Thanks, Dave. It's funny... I really like some of the architectural HDR that just screams HDR. But I like these too, where it isn't immediately apparent that HDR was the processing.

What would a non-HDR frame look like? I.e. what does your best single frame look like as compared to these? Just curiosity as to why HDR was necessary in this shot...

What would a non-HDR frame look like? I.e. what does your best single frame look like as compared to these? Just curiosity as to why HDR was necessary in this shot...I'm at work (shhhhh... don't tell the boss) and the shots are at home. But the shadows in the windows and elsewhere were very very deep -- essentially no detail at all. Still good shots, but not as detailed.
