Ok guys, Have a question here... When I resize based on the 1240X1240 requirements to post my pics come out way small. Not sure what I am doing wrong.... Any Ideas>?\\?

Edit... Newbie so I may just not be using the software correctly

What software? How are you using that software?

You are correct, you are probably not using the software correctly :)

Thanks for the reply.. At the moment am playing around with GIMP...I go to image > scale image> unlock the pixel lock on the width X Height and change values to 1240X 1240....

That resize method works fine for me in Gimp.

If your desire is to post here on POTN and the image is resident on your PC the image has to be a max of 800X800 pix and 100k or less.

You can, or you can increase the compression level of the jpeg. Sorry, don't know how to do that in Gimp, but it should be in your "save picture" dialog somewhere...

-js

I'll be....I've tried the larger size and it wouldn't upload. Was a few weeks ago though. I'll have to try again next time I post an image.
