New England is a BIG area. I live in MA on Cape Cod so my favorite place(s) are the beaches and marinas of the cape. In the summer time I usually end up at one race track or another like Lime Rock Park, New England Drag way, New Hampshire International Speedway, Watkins Glen.

I dont technically live in New England, but so close I might as well. I enjoy Vermont scenery... if you could consider that New England, but also like going to the beaches of New Hampshire.

Kaylesh I live in West Barnstable so Osterville is close by so is has been one of my favorite places for photography.

Here are a few from Osterville, last one is a little dark as it was shot at night just after the sun went down. This was one of my first long exposure shots.

I'd add that there are some great small towns and cities to shoot, if you like that kind of thing. I just went to Providence for the first time and it was a real charm. Obviously there are a million little towns with neat buildings and town commons that are nice as well.

I spend most of my time with outdoorsy photography so I like the mountains, lakes, and the ocean, especially since they're all about an hour away from me (in different directions). If you get a kayak or canoe, you can hike it out to secluded lakes and ponds and you won't hear or see another person all day. If you want to shoot the desert, there is a small desert in Maine (http://www.desertofmaine.com/desert.htm).

I'm in Connecticut, The old mill towns offer a great deal of photo ops. My fav. area is in the North West section of the state. But you have to put on the MUST list Mystic Seaport, and the towns along the shore, In Vermont a great area is Shelbourne Museum just south of Burlington and of course Burlington itself and Lake Champlain. Like someone said New England is a LARGE and diverse area, you'll find photo ops around every corner.  The beauty of Connecticut is that it's small and you can cover an awful lot of area in a short time.

Unless I've missed it, no one has mentioned Martha's Vineyard, MA. This is where Jaws was filmed. There are pictures to be had everywhere, but I favor Menemsha, a quaint fishing village. It's a great week-end getaway for photography. Of course, you'll need to hop a ferry to get there.
