I think this pic would look better in a different light there was ~another hour till the sun got into the right position of where I think it could have been better, but I just didn't have time. The image seems to contrasty to me and when I play with the curves it get either too dark or to light. Any suggestion on better composition, angel, light, etc.. would be helpful. Also I was trying to get the feeling of isolation that comes across in some of the out port shots around my area and I don't feel I can do them justice yet as I'm still learning.

It's hard to tell with the size of the image......never mind, just saw the large version. If you ask me, it looks good, Might of been better with more of the hill on the right showing. The little yellow house is cute.
Do you have any more where you can see more of the surroundings?

I don't think it's to contrasty if anything a maybe a hair on the dark side when it comes to balancing light's and dark's...If you lighten the image balance then you loose the warm sunlight feeling and that is too much of a price to pay in this shot.
Looks good...Matter of fact it looks great, like a place I would want to spend some time.

Hi,
Thanks for the comments. Hes a view from a wider angle shot. Loses some detail in resizing for the web. I still need to work on the lighting of this photo. I masked out the house and bumped up the saturation a little. Cropped out some foreground water but the rest of the photo is unchanged/uncropped.

Snow looks very blue in that last pic, but I like the composition way more.

The left half of the second photo does nothing for me. But I do like the wider view on the right half.
To me the top photo with the long shadows and warm light say last rays of warm sunshine. But #2 without that warm glow says cold and lonley place. I like both but favor the warmer interpatation.
I'm not sure if the long walk up the hill isworth the short ride down:lol:
