Loving this camera. Makes the 70-200 much more portrait friendly.
I need to watch the dof with this camera though.
Entirely flash free, thats why I burnt the sky out. It was slate grey and featureless anyway.
It got real damp and misty. So you couldn`t see where the sky ended and the sea started.

Very nice :-)

1.I like it lots. I only wish her expression was a little different and not have her mouth open, just my opinion though.
2. The angle seems a little awkward for me, and I would've liked to see more of her face. I dont know if the angle was the only one you could get though?
3. Very pretty. Even though the sky is blown out, it works. Great shot.
4. Like this one as well. Would've liked to see a shot of them in the center inbetween those pole things, but maybe it would've looked TOO centered, ya know?
5. Very cute! Nice capture. I wish that distant pole thing wasnt sticking out of his back.
6. I actually like this angle, its interesting. Looks a little flat, no? Don't know how much boost to the color you did in PP?
7. Very nice, you captured a nice moment.
8. Beautiful. Love her expression.

Thanks for sharing. Even though the weather was all cloudy and murky you did a great job making the pictures interesting.

The blown out sky in #3 looks "sunny" because it is blown out in black and white. When you see it is really a blown out dull blue-grey you know it is overcast and dismal. The B/W definitely works better (and I quite like #3).

Thanks for the crit.
#6 flat? I thought I`d pushed the contrast a bit too far (for me).
I may well lose the pole thingy in #5 though.

Maybe its my monitor...or my eyes...or I need to take it easy on contrast in pictures  Sorry.

The reds are blown in 6 so I'd say too much contrast. You can only get so much pop out of a day like that until you add your own flash.

What RAW converter/profile are you using? Too old of an Adobe profile will also cause those reds to blow like that.

I`m using Lightrooms latest incarnation.
I have a few presets I use but normally people don`t wear red`s that bright at weddings ;)

Right, I would selectively desaturate his jacket a bit in 5/6/7, but that is being picky.

First shot is a great bg, but the angle that BOTH of them are leaning is disturbing for me. Try more... stable (?) pose.

Wow. I rarely get the chance to shoot with a completely white bg outside. It makes for all sorts of creative endeavors! Use it! Use it as negative space. It could be really fantasy like...

#3 & #5 are my favorite. Nice composition and nice processing as well. Thanks for sharing.

Blew the highlights out, or burnt the sky in, but not both. :)
