Has anyone else had this happen? I've got a speck of dust under the LCD glass of my 20D. It's really just an annoyance and obviously won't affect the pictures I take, but it irks me! Any way to get it out of there?

Do you mean the color preview screen or the settings LCD?

Ah yes, the color preview screen... Sorry.

I've read the plastic cover over that screen comes out quite easily, if it's just under the cover you should be able to get rid of it yourself :)

Anyone have a clue as to how one might remove the cover?

Just leave it there, you'll do more damage removing it and putting it back on.

It's just a "device"... use it and don't worry.

I had this happen to my 10D. A guy on another forum told me how to fix it. Hot glue a nail head to the screen, let it dry completely, then pull. The screen will pop off and you can clean it. To get the screen back on just use double sided tape, that is all that holds it on now, and trim off the excess with a razor blade. I have done it a few times with the 10D and once with my 20D. I was scared to death the first time but it worked like a champ.
