Ugh...I'm kinda disappointed...I use my CompuTrekker AW backpack quite a bit, and it has fared well...however, the other day I noticed that one of the shoulder straps is probably about 1/3 separated from the body of the backpack...with hiking/travelling season coming up, I'm kinda concerned about this.

Any idea as to who/where can fix it? (I bought it at a tiny little shop in rural Alberta a while ago, so I don't think returning it is an option...I'll see if I can find the receipt, but if memory serves right I think I got it in the summer of '07).

Thanks,
-Tamas

Might try a shoe repair place - they usually have heavy-duty sewing gear.

good god you're fast!!! *that's what she said*....anyways

Thanks...that's a great idea :) I was thinking some sort of a tailor place, but I really don't know if a shop that usually hems pants would be up to the task...

You got lucky. I'm downloading photos and popped over while the files move.

Others to check with would be a canvas shop that does awnings and boat covers or an upolstery shop. Awning guys will have nylon and webbing too.

that's what I was thinking...I just don't know how I'd even go about finding such a shop...

Jon,

Your PC is obviously female, it can multitask.

Mine on the other hand is clearly male............... Cannot always manage one thing at a time!

Contact Lowepro. I think their products have life time warranty right? At least against defects.

I've read that people have ripped bags and Lowepro replaced them.

I was going to make the 'contact Lowepro' suggestion, as they have great customer service!
You may have to pay to ship your bag to them, but I suspect they'll send you a brand new replacement, or do a really good job with the repairs...

Jon,

Your PC is obviously female, it can multitask.

Mine on the other hand is clearly male............... Cannot always manage one thing at a time!Nope. 3 netbooks to a single keyboard/monitor and mouse. I popped from the Libretto which was downloading to either the Asus Eee or the Acer One; can't remember which.
