I searched and I didn't find anything on here.
Anyone using video light to light there subject? (Portraits, bridals or engagements) for night time shots?
If you do, what do you use?
I'm looking for a portable one.

I use hot lights from time for my photography. I have used them for food and portraits.

What specific brand/model?
Is it portable? I need something for on location.

I use dimmable 4-bank florescent lights for my video work, but I would not, and do not use them for portraits.

Has anyone just tried using a Torch or a Bike Light?

It's possible to use those, but you will want to use a diffuser to soften the light since the light patten isn't usually smooth. You can basically use anything. I think on strobist, it was suggested to use the illumination off an iphone.
