My buddies sellin his RGI's, so we had to do a shoot. I know a couple of um are blurry, but they were too good to drop. Night focusing=fail for me. Oh and Photosguy sorry for bein harsh in my last thread, bad day. Your photos are nice and in my next shoot theres going to be a lot more moving of my feet. C&C welcomed.

Night focusing=fail for me. Night shots are tough. best for me is to use a tripod & MF. 8. (one without the bg edited) I almost like that one.

Great shots that woulda been perfect with a tripod and a wireless shutter. Good job on the lighting, can't wait to get a strobe set-up myself. I too would love to see your set-up!

Great shots and sexy car. #6 would be best if the tree to the right wasn't there.

Thanks. Yea I tried the flashlight torch trick, but it didn't really work out. I think when I zoom in and focus then zoom out the focus ring shifts a little.

I was using that combo, but just wasn't working out to great. I think some of it was the zoom in zoom out with a sticky lens.
I also like the orange bg on the pictures, but the owner of the car and a couple people that I had asked liked the edited ones .

Yea, I use a vivitar 285 hv and a promaster 7000m with cactus v2s's on light stands. Most of the shots were a pretty style of positioning the lights. both at half power high and camera left/right.

I did use a tripod, but next time I'll try out my wireless shutter remote. Thanks for the compliment.

True, I'll see if theres a larger opening in the trees around that location.

I also like the orange bg on the pictures, So do I, but I aim my comments at making the car look as good as possible, something that most guys skip on their way to the (much harder) strobist techniques.
but the owner of the car and a couple people that I had asked liked the edited ones . Yeah, but what do they know? ;) Did you ever look at the tips link I suggested two weeks ago?,

Ahh I gotcha, wea there are some more reflections in that shot. I did look more through your tutorial and am going to try and implement them into my next shoot. I'll try and use them exclusively.
pretty cool shots.....
Thanks. May I ask why you added the dramatic periods?

Yea focusing in the dark is a skill I need to improve, also my glass isn't the greatest either. I used my 28-90 and my 75-300, which are both non l's.

I'll try and use them exclusively. I'm not saying that you shouldn't try different things. Just that you should know how to make them look good, too.
