Holy Week in the Philippines

Hi guys, I just wanted to share with you a set of pics that I took last weekend. In this certain area of the Philippines, Christian devotees inflict pain upon themselves reminiscent to what Christ himself had also gone through, as penitence for their sins.

wow, its so good you posted those up. I was actually going to travel to sanfernando that day but it was too close to my flight day, Great pics. Probably the only ones on the web. Maganda. Oh yea wheres the cruxifition shots?

Thanks! I didn't get any crucifixion shots.. I had to leave early because we had a family thing.. Plus the fact that I didnt have anything longer than the 18 - 55 with me, making it impossible for to get good shots, given that the crucifixion area was also closed off tot he general public... :P

Yes, it was pretty emotional to see these people put themselves through that kind of stuff. What really caught my attention was the shot posted above, where they would kneel and pray in front of the crucifixion area...
