This one legged bird sat very still while I experimented with different focal lengths, apertures, and shutter speeds. Most of my shots are still coming out a little soft. This was one of the better ones. Let me know what you think. No post processing done...

Is that the lesser spotted twit bird ( as discovered by that famous orthinologit, Spike Milligoon)?
Which lenses were you using etc??

What a great capture of the "plastikus fakus"!!!
It looks like the bark behind the bird is more focused than the bird itself. The beak especially looks OOOF.

Thanks, that was a good laugh! And super glue would probably work on the leg.

I'm glad you all enjoyed the dry humor. My dad thought it would be funny to put the birds there, and never bothered to take them down.
Now to the technical stuff. Most of my pictures have not been coming out as sharp as I would like. I think I figured out why this one is OOF. I thought I was shooting with a smaller aperture than I was. I forgot to switch the camera back to Av mode after taking some other shots. So, my DOF is only about 1". Here is the info:
Tripod Shot
CWB Using Gray Card
Focal point on throat, just under beak
Tv: 1/200
Av: 5.0
ISO: 200
Lens: 70.0 - 200.0 mm
FL: 145.0 mm
Distance to Subject approximately 6 feet.

Thanks for the laugh. My side is hurting.
I really like you getting asked whether you knew it was a fake bird or not!

Somehow I think I would have gotten the other end . . . even of this wonderful bird.
