What lighting are you using for these shots? you've really got the texture nicely.

Almost feels like I could reach out and touch the rose. Nice job!

WOW. Again you amaze me. How do you do the 3D shots?

Thanks for the comments :)

Peitolm - just using natural light through a window onto a vase of roses.

Alan - some info in #6 here http://www.flickr.com/groups/topic/66514/ on doing cross-eye stereograms.

#3 and #4 are very good because compared to #1/2 they get in closer and concentrate more on the flower head. Nicely executed.

Thanks Rob - you have me worried #3 is a stereo using #2 as one of the pics

Here is one of mine. 50mm compact macro, no flash, long exposure and sprayed with water. Some dirt on sensor and some stuck pixels. I think with better lighting it could have been spectacular. Yours are great!

Good one John :)-
think you hit the nail on the head- you really need something special in the light to make rose shots stand out - guess I'm not really interested enough in the subject to get really into the lighting side.
