Peitolm - just using natural light through a window onto a vase of roses.

#3 and #4 are very good because compared to #1/2 they get in closer and concentrate more on the flower head. Nicely executed.

Here is one of mine. 50mm compact macro, no flash, long exposure and sprayed with water. Some dirt on sensor and some stuck pixels. I think with better lighting it could have been spectacular. Yours are great!

Good one John :)-
think you hit the nail on the head- you really need something special in the light to make rose shots stand out - guess I'm not really interested enough in the subject to get really into the lighting side.
