Thanks for posting this - time to upgrade (if it goes pear-shaped I know who to blame ;) )

Pekka, I do not speak (Russian, Traditional Chinese, and Korean) and do not intend to hire any assistance that do, and my 1Ds mkII does fine with my 4-1gb 80x lexmark cf cards. Is there any reason for me to upgrade, at this time?

I just gave the news. Everyone can personally decide what to do with it.

I think getting the fix for the card communication problem is worth 5 minutes firmware update procedure. I don't have problems wither, but even if your card works now you may find yourself in a situation where you have pile of new cards and job has to be done reliably.
