any idea which one will work with the 5d? i know for sure that the hotshoe remote will work, but i'm wondering about the other two. placing an order in 5 minutes.

Personally, I would stay away from the IR remotes. They are cheap, but require close line of sight

The best wireless remotes, currently, I think are the Phottix Cleons. There were two models for Canon, but it appears they have expanded. I only searched at one “store”, but I have ordered from them.
