Well...back from Isla Mujeres and Akumal Bay with some more great photos to share. Here are a couple of them for now. More to follow.

Great shots! Really up close and personal with Mr. Turtle!

I assume you were using your D10... what settings did you use?

Yeah he was very close. I used my D10 with the underwater settings on auto with flash disabled. I also use the multi shot setting and just hold down the trigger for multiple shots. Often I can get some interesting activity from the subjects that I am shooting underwater.

Can we set the focus point on this camera? On mine the camera decides what to focus on, and it seems to usually be something other than what I am centering on the screen.

Trythis....I just recompose if the camera focuses on the wrong spot.

I am sure it will not compare to Canon, but I just bought a waterproof Kodak sport waterproof camera for my young son at Walmart for $66.00. In Canada it is the tax that kills us. Up to 13% now.

The D10 really makes a vacation if snorkeling is involved. You just need to remember to wipe the lens when you get out of the water
