I'm not too sure about this one and would appreciate comments. It's about a 1/3rd crop of original scene, taken almost directly into sun. Folowed by a little work in RawShooter
but not much.
Better in BW (?) except for lovely peat coloured mound with sun through it. Appreciate comments - damning or not

I would prefer seeing your exposure set to have the water looking less overexposed. To heck with the rocks let them be shadows even more!

Agree with the over exposure.
But I would not like to see this in a BW because I really like that peat colored water mound in the middle.
I would increase the saturation in PS to make it stand out more.

MAybe try a circular polarizer to get rid of some of that reflection... I do ag ree with the above poster, though... the green colored water mount is a very cool look.

Thanks guys. Firstly, overexposed, yes. Being clever I decided to compensate for looking directly into sun (see data). However, I then looked at another negative which had no exposure compensation - much better. I prefer detail in the rock ....
Increasing saturation also worked and only affected the water mound.
Polarise filter. I actually did put one on but it made no difference because, of course, I was looking straight into the sun!
Here's my second attempt with a slightly different crop. What thinkest thou?

the difference is day and night! the first one had the water way too distracting, making it hard to find a focus point. the 2nd one works for me. GOLD!
