So I am on the hunt for a sling camera bag that will allow me to hold two cameras. I am looking to keep a Nikon D200 with a vertical grip and a Pentax 35mm camera in it. I also need to hold about 5 lenses in that bag. I am thinking that a sling would be the best for me because I am doing events photography and need to not have the limitations of a back pack style bag. Let me know if you know of any sling bags or if you think something will work better for me. :D

That is a lot to ask. I know the Velocity 9X is as big as a sling bag gets. It will hold 2 camera bodies tightly, without a grip. With that sort of requirement, I doubt you'll find anything to hold 5 lenses and 2 cameras. For all that, I'd consider the F-1 or maybe the F-2. I know it's not a sling bag, but Jon holds his cross his chest and it's not impossible to hold the bag and get your gear out. We do this all the time.

Have you considered the belt system? I think it's a Lowepro product. I'd get the largest sling bag and put the extra lenses in the belt holders. It's the best way to go to spread the weight.

Thank you for the response. I did not think about using a belt system and that sounds like a good idea. :D

I've been considering this as well. I do a lot of summer shooting in the mountains and the backpack was great, but I needed more gear. I like to upgrade to a belt system so I can get the gear out faster and not have so much weight on my shoulders.

Good luck!

Asking a Canon forum what bag to use for a Noink and a Petnax? Would you trust our views?

Errr.. Yeah, Suzy said it - Hard ask.

Not a sling, but I have a Crumpler 7 Million Dollar Home (Messenger bag) and it holds Camera+Grip+Mounted Lens, 17-55, 70-200 L, Sigma 30mm or the 10-20mm, a few flashes, bits and pieces, and that's packed nice an tight.
