We were in Sedona for a family reunion last September. The only place that isn't conducive to landscape shooting is the parking lot of Safeway. And even then if you look out the front at the right time of day.......Beautiful place. The road in from the north is exceptionally pretty but not the classic red rock.

We have a weekend place in Sedona so I know a few places to help you with.
Airport road will give you good morning or afternoon panoramas because of its hight and location near the center of town.
Dont miss an afternoon and sunset at Red Rock Crossing. Enter from the park side and hike as close to Cathedral rock as you can get. Recent floods have carried a lot of ugly debris the further away from the rock you go.
Slide Rock is famous but difficult for good photos due to steep canyon walls and too many tourists.
I you like to hike then our favorites are: Chicken point , devils bridge, Brins Mesa, and Bell Rock pathway.
There are lots more depending on your time and hiking inclination. You cant go wrong.
good luck
