This is the lizard that was on the metal screen door at my sister's place in San Diego.
And the insect was found on a wall by my cousin's apartment, although I'm not sure what the name of that insect was.................let me know if anyone know the name for that insect. feedbacks welcome, thanks.

I believe the insect is called a walking stick. Great picture!

The lizard looks like a Southern Alligator Lizard, Elgaria (Gerrhonotus) multicarinata.
On second thought, why not just call it a lizard?

I believe the insect is called a walking stick. Great picture! Yep - some sort of phasmid. I think it might be an anisomorpha buprestoides - palmetto walking stick, but I'm no botanist.
Does it only have 4 legs?

This walking stick appears to be missing 2 legs. Nice pics.

you know, the walking stick actually has six legs, it's just that when the front two legs are usually tucked in so it looks like part of its head........I found this out because I was playing with one, and when it started walking, the part which looked like the head, split apart and turned into its front legs. It is pretty amazing..........or at least I thought.
