I captured these on Saturday night.. was about 20 degrees out.. pretty amazing!!

Sorry about the noise, had to boost the ISO because my tripod isn't the most stable in the world :)

Great capture Marc. How visible were they to the naked eye?

Very vague to the naked eye.. visible enough for me to notice, but not anything like the long exposure brings out... I always keep an eye to the sky and I happened to noticed these.. I doubt a normal person going about their business would notice..

That's really bizarre, almost like the earth is under attack! I really like it, well spotted and well captured.

just like sun dogs or ice halos, plate shaped ice crystals in the clouds, only these reflections are from city lights rather than the sun or moon...
