having trouble uploading...SDHC

just bought a sandisk 8gb SDHC card, went out took some pictures and now i cant upload them?

Does lightroom not import files from SDHC cards? i shot them in raw.

I'm not familiar with lightroom but are you talking about getting the photos from your camera to your computer or the files to lightroom?

If it's camera/sdhc -> computer: are you using a media card reader or usb camera from camera? If it's media card reader it may not be built to support sdhc cards.

If it's files -> lightroom: have you searched through google or adobe forums? Adobe releases plugins for raw files (you may just need an updated patch to allow for your cameras CR2 files)

Thanks for the reply Mocows. I don't know what it was, but i just restarted the camera and took the card out and put it back in and it worked.

I was doing it from usb camera port straight to the computer.

Generally a good idea is to have the camera off when you play with memory cards so that it's not reading/writing when you pull it. Same with the usb cable (aka camera off, plug in cable, turn on camera, do your thing, turn off camera, unplug)

Glad it works though :D
