Here's a couple of pic's from Boston for you. These were taken with a Powershot G1. They were take from the park that I told you about on Marginal Street in East Boston. The park on Maverick Street in East Boston actually gets you even closer.

BTW, if you do come to Boston via Logan Airport, you will already be in East Boston. East Boston has some fantastic places to eat and without the price gouging that you will find in downtown Boston or the North End. For Italian food, I would suggest Jeveli's. It's the oldest Italian eatery in Boston, still operated by the original family since the early 20's. For pizza, Santarpio's is a "new comer," it's only been there since the early 50's.:D It's the best pizza in Boston.

Also, just 10 minutes to the north is the city of Revere and a trip to Kelly's Roast Beef at Revere Beach, will not only provide you with the best roast beef sandwiches anywhere, it will give you a chance to get some great pictures of sea gulls in flight. They will eat right out of your hand there.

He mantioned that park too

Make sure he was refering to the same park. The one I am refering to is on the East Boston side. The park most commonly seen by tourists would be Christopher Columbus Park in the North End section of Boston on Atlantic Avenue by the Marriott Boston Long Wharf which will only give you views of East Boston. Again, any taxi driver can take you to the ones I have mentioned.

Also, if you do go to Jeveli's there is two sides. The bar side, you can eat there too and the restaurant side. Whenever President Clinton went to Boston he would eat there. Also, there is Spinelli's Bakery right across from Jeveli's. Lot's of folks will say go to Mike's Pastry on Hanover Street in the North End. Mike's is excellent but Spinelli's is bigger, better and cheaper.

Here's one more pic. This is taken from my kayak so I could get a closer shot with the G1. It shows the area of the skyline to the left of the other two pics. Hope you enjoy your stay.

A few other places to see that wiil provide great photo OP's besides the ones I've already mentioned.

Copley Square, where you will see by the John Hancock building (it's all reflective glass) and the Boston Public Library. The Prudential Center, Bostonians just call it, "the Pru." Take a trip to the top of it's 42 stories by elevator and you will be rewarded with spectacular views of the city.

The Charles river where the Fourth of July is celebrated every year at the Esplanade Hatch Shell.

Harvard Square in Cambridge, great for people watching.

Inside Fanueil Hall Market Place which is my favorite for people watching.

At the Public Gardens is the famous Swan Boat rides.

Newbury Street, walk it don't drive it.

Hanover Street in the North End.

Fenway Park home of the (I still can't believe it) World Champion Boston Red Sox, it's in Kenmore Square.

If it's raining, check out the Museum of Science's Omni theater and the Museum of Fine Arts.
