Try pasting the in-focus dead rose into the one with the in-focus live one.

First of all, I don't care for the dead rose, it doesn't seem to have a purpose in the photo. I think you need to decide what is the subject of your picture and then focus on your subject and keep it simple to be effective. Leave out the second dead rose.

Last time I sent anyone a dead rose was right after I filed for D.I.V.O.R.C.E

Mind your background... there's an annoying strip of brown on the left. The second shot's a waste of time, as it's not obvious that the dead rose is dead. As for the first, I found myself wondering about that strange bit of paper it's wrapped in more than the flower itself. Even with these two, it needs more of a story. E.g. at a minimum: in-with-the-new / out-with-the-old: show vase, one in and the other lying in front. Or hands grabbing and releasing. The dead one threaded through a wedding ring. Something, anything.
Cheers, Tony
