1-4 are from the 5D
5&6 are from the 50D higher FPS but lower IQ... skin tone, contrast. etc etc

I like 'em...Seems there's a bit of greenish hue to it though.

I like the shot of the coach. But what is going on with his jacket? Towards the bottom of his coat it almost seems like CA.
#1 looks real nice.
#2 Should be titled "The Rock" or if you are a movie buff "The Prom Queen". That was a nice grab.

I like these and you did very well with 1/400s. Pretty easy to get some motion blur at that speed when shooting the big guys so hats off. Love the capture on #2. I like the alst one as well but wish you had it just a bit earlier as I think most of the impact is gone by the point it was taken. You gave me lots to think about as I swithced some settings at my last game to 1/1000s f2.8 and 3200 (from 1/500 f2.8 1600). I think the ss tradeoff was a poor choice for me and to see these at 1/400s is just what I needed to confirm what I was thinking. Glad you put em up.

actually i always shoot at 500-640 at ISO 800 and push exposure up in PP.
im not sure why i went for 400 during this game. i got exponentially more blurred shots out of this shoot than the past 3-4 games (all together)...however i didn't have to push the exposure.
im probably gonna go back to 640 SS and try shooting in RAW...

I have played that trade as well (obviously). The RAW output looks significantly better than the jpegs from my MkII. I also noticed the opposite effect as you (since I upped ss rather than backed it down) in that I got more images with no moption blurring at all but they were pretty noisy. I'll post some later today so lemme know what you think. At 1/500s 2.8 1600, I usually don't need to push it and if so its less than 1/3. Sounds like we are seeing the same things so I'd say you are correct in how you see settings. The 1/1000 3200 for me was just to keep it exposure neutral but I feel like things were 1/3 darker and noisier.

I like them. I am shooting sports with a 40D but want to try the 5D2 coming up. It looked like you were right there and getting sweated on. :)
