Located this single Pelican on the river this evening. He must have seen me because he did not sit on the water for me long at all. With a hop, skip and a jump he was airborne and away. Funny looking and even a bit prehistoric, they are a spring time favorite . . .

LOL, yes I suppose my drive is . . . that struck me a bit funny, but is very true. I also only see ten or fifteen car and or trucks in a day. So it is not crowded either. I always try to swing by the river or little bays to see what is in and where it is staying. Scouting for the morrow. I want to catch the Blue Heron and the Tundra Swans, but they are some harder. I could get lucky . . . one never knows.

Nice capture. They are such neat birds, too bad they are also quite skittish.
