Hello everyone!

Portrait photographs remain pretty difficult for me. I've been trying to improve my skills on them, and I would like to have some input from you all if you do not mind.

This is a self-portrait of me; this piece is named Transparent Soul for many different reasons. My hair and skin represent how I "bare" all of myself out to the world and let it hit me as it should. And the fact that my hand is covering my face, eyes especially, the entrance to my soul is basically blocked--no one's allowed in or able to see it. But my hand also represents that I put my soul into everything I do and everything I do is not wasted. Hence the name Transparent Soul.

All questions, comments, and critiques are welcome.

Good work. Self Portraits are often hard to do and you've done a great job.

geezzz... I'm glad the self portrait I did was a while ago. Long enough for people to not remember it :p. Your gonna make the rest of us look bad when you turn out stuff like this :D

That is beautiful, captivating and so emotional. From the heart. I love it. I wish I was a bit more advanced so i could give you constructive critcism. I am not very skilled yet so my eye doesn't catch anything wrong. I would love to see a second one with maybe your eyes showing....or a full view of the one eye you have in the photo that your finger is covering. Beautiful work though!

I like the picture and the explanation.
Of course we would love to see more of you (especially the eyes), but of course we will be patient and accept what you decide to share with us.

Thank you all for your welcome and comments! Yes, I'm planning to make some other shots with my eyes not covered. I'm going to play around with poses and such. It'll be a fun experience!
