While checking out my sensor and cleaning it because of a persistent spot, I saw a small, shiny dot on the sensor -- I cannot remove it; it looks like the sensor itself is damaged :cry::cry:
Anyways, long story short, I contacted Canon and they suggest I send the camera in. I bought it in Jan, so it's still within the warranty. What have your experiences been with this? More to the point, how long did it take (i.e. how long will I be without my camera)? The center itself is all of about an hour from where I live (it's in Irvine, CA), so shipping shouldn't be a factor (not that it takes UPS more than a couple of days anyways).
I know that it all varies, I just wanna know if I'm looking at more like a week or two or a month or two?
Thanks... I'm going to go cry for a while now...
