Compact flash adapter just as fast?

There is a lot of Compact flash adapters that enables me to use a micro / SD memory card in my Canon 350D. My question is can i experience any delay when shooting 3 frames pr second in raw?

Never run a speed test on 'em. For convenience and ease of handling I prefer the CF cards anyhow. I have a couple of SDHC-CF adapters for use with my EyeFi card and in case I run out of CF cards on a busy shoot.
