These are the very first pictures I took that I really liked. One is of the pier in Oceanside, CA. The tree one is of a tree I used as a tripod to get the moonlight with some long exposure in San Diego, CA. And the last is when I first discovered long exposure on a street in San Diego, CA. These are all the pictures I took when a friend of mine took me under his wing so to say. Comments are appreciated. Thank you.

Wow,. te first one is especially nice,. I like the deep colors and lighting...

And well,. the seemingly coincidental absence of light from the first street lamp.. well it ends up making a bit of a statement.. ;)

Great first post!

And Welcome to the forum :)

Hello Yori,

I'll join the others in welcoming you to the forum.

You have some very fine photos there, and you've gone for a challenge with nighttime shooting. I find nighttime photography especially difficult, much harder to find good subjects because you really have to see in 4 dimensions to know what the effect of long exposures will have on your final image.

Try and get above traffic and set for long exposures - the effects are really cool!

Well thanks alot to all who have replied so far. I was always interested in photography but never knew enough to really get into it. Aside from aim, smile, and shoot, my knowledge of photo taking was pretty much slim to none. So we get a new worker here and he's a pretty good photographer who got me into it. He taught me about long exposure and so on and that's what I did to get all 3 of those pictures.

the only thing I dont like about the first one is the light closest to us is not on. Other than that they're cool.

Welcome to the forum. My preference is for the first one. The colors in it emit a certain mood that makes it a pleasing photograph.

The first one just pulls me out there into the unknown. The others are nice too.
