That bad, huh. I suppose the composition isn't very appealing.

I am not sure its the composition per se. The title is "A Good Book" and the image shows a family looking at a book. The first thing you see is the family and your eye has to hunt for the book. You might have taken an angle, perhaps from below the book shooting up where the book is prominent in the image and the mother/children appear behind and might be even out of focus... Just 2 cents, easy for me to say as I was not there.

Composition is good but the subject matter is uninteresting to me.
