Hi Everyone. This photo was taken in Florence. I wanted to post this photo because I believe it might be one of the better photo I have ever taken. That being said, I would love to have it critiqued. I just want to improve. Thank you.
edit: attached rather then linked.

That's a great shot, perhaps a little dark, but I like it :) You could try lightening it up a bit, which would blow out the sun, but the rest of the picture might look better.

You know, I'm not sure why everyone thinks that pictures always have to be brightned. I have been around similar landscapes and have some that have the same look as this one to my eyes. Now, why in the heck do we want to brighten something that doesnt look that wasy in the first place. I'm assuming that when you took the pic it pretty much had a similair look to what you caputured? if so, leave it alone, it's great as is..

I agree with johneric8. Very nice shot. I'm not sure what camera/lens/exposure settings you used, but the only thing that would make the shot more appealing to me is if it were sharper.

florence is beautiful. i like the hazy shot. it looks like a morning fog or mist. but i'd keep playing around with it in photoshop. try saturating the colors more or even b&w.

It's a nice composition. Is it taken at the Michael Angelo Piazza/Hill? It is a bit hazy though. But a good capture of the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio and the Baptistry.

Lovely soft colours of the early morning light and beautifully exposed... The only thing I would do to it is tone/clone down the sky (camera top left) as it's a little bright there, otherwise it is excellent...
PS... A neutral density graduated filter would have done the toning down in camera...

I like it just like it is. Any brighter and you would lose the soft lighting of the buildings along the riverfront.

Great shot!
Its got the old oil painting feel, perfect for Florence, Id leave it un-brightened personally.

Beautiful panorama! I was in the same spot last May and took some photos of the sunset: http://www.shuttercity.com/ShowPhoto.cfm?PhotoID=78567

Thanks for all the comments. The shot was taken at sunset. Interesting that it does look like a morning shot. I can't remember if it's Michael Angelo Piazza/Hill? It was a lookout point of some sort. rssfhs, can you confirm? Your shot is beautiful!
This is a crop from the original pano, which is much bigger. I want to print this one for the wall some day.

Beautiful shot. The tone/color seems to fit the old world image. I did put one level of shapening on it and personally liked the result. But it looks like an old master's work as is.
