I like "Keeper of the Plains", but would like to see it at a better time of day from a lighting perspective. Early daylight or sunset would be a nice addition. Also, maybe staking it out to catch the eagle/osprey that has built a nest at the base would yield a memorable shot.

#1 is excellent. It looks like you used flash, which isn't always bad but often makes the lighting look flat. #2 has the skies blown out -- you have to meter for the entire scene or this is the result. #3 has good color and a good angle, but would be more interesting if not so centered. Keep shooting and keep posting!

Mother nature doesnt always cooperate, and sometime you have to improvise. Learning how to use an editing software program is essential if you want to have better control over your images. This was a quick edit done using PAINT.net which is a free program if you dont have Photoshop. I have also heard a great deal about GIMP.
