I may be up by Colfax here in Denver, not quite downtown and I am thinking about maybe trying some street shooting. The area is busy and a bit shady (actualy have seen a drug deal a long time ago in broad daylight) but as I said, I am thinking about maybe doing some shooting.

Instead of lifting the camera to my eye, I thought about attaching the strap to the 30D, putting on the 24mm f/2.8 lens (may use the 50mm f/1.8 since the glass dont stick out as much), slinging the kit over my neck off to my side and use a remote switch to fire off a few shots.

If I do try this, what settings should I try? Maybe a higher ISO of say, 400? Should I set the lens to a minum of say f/5.6 or something or use AP mode?

Any suggestions?

Don't worry. They're pretty busy and likely won't even notice you.

Cases in point (all at 20mm except the last at 28mm):
