I finally got to put the Tokina to a test today after having it for a couple months. Health reasons have kept me in but I'm good to go now. I used Rawshooter & PS to process but mainly levels and contrast, the lense is pretty sharp and needs little post-processing. I think this lense will be a good one for a couple Rocky Mountain trips this summer.

Here's 3 images of a lake near my home:

Very nice. The last one seems like you're floating over the water. Just gives me that feeling. Very nice shots.

Great images, Mike. Where in the Rockies are you going? I'll be in Colorado much of the summer.

Thanks all, I forgot to mention that those pics were taken with a Tokina 17mm. I really like this lense, simplicity is good sometimes. Plus you can get some really neat effects with it. I'm thinking with the Tamron 28-75 I already had and a possible future 135L I should have it pretty well covered.

Sparker - I'll start out west of Denver and go from there. My favorite trips in the mountains have been when I didn't have a real plan, we just went wherever the wind blew us. Crested Butte is one of my favorite places, and we sometimes end up down around Ouray. I do plan to spend some time in the Maroon Bells. Last summer we took my Jeep up there and did lots of the trails, only problem was I didn't have my 20D, I was using a cheapo Casio. I can't wait to get up there with this camera.
