This is a shot from a baby shoot I did Saturday. I photographed four babies that day with this one (my son) being the youngest at 2 weeks. I was not real pleased with my shots overall. I find photographing babies much harder than older children for some reason. This one, however, I thought was a keeper. Not exactly and orignal concept but I'm interested in hearing what you think.
Shot with a 30D in studio. Alien Bee 800 with large softbox and another 800 with a beauty dish. 125 shutter speed, 100 ISO, and I think about an f8.

I feel your pain!! I just started doing babies, we do weddings and usually family portraits. I found that trail and error work well! lol. Just keep shooting and pay attention to the settings and make your changes as needed. Then remember it all for the next shoot!!! ;)

Thanks. I'm learning more but its funny how such an inactive little lump can pose more of an issue for me than a crazed 2 year old!
