RAW file

Hi all,

I am pretty new to G2 and I am trying to figure out how to use the raw files. I can convert the file but I don't relly know what to do with it. What software should I use with it?

Guess there is software that comes with the camera. I fnot you can download Breezebrowser (www.breezebrowser.com) or YarcPlus (www.yarcplus.com).

Like a lot of people, I use BreezeBrowser, and have for nearly 18 months. It's a good product, it's regularly updated, Chris is very responsive, and once you register the program, upgrades are free for life.

One thing I haven't updated on that page is a mention of the Combined mode of conversion, which Chris has added to Normal and Linear.

Combined takes twice as long as Normal but it preserves greater detail in the highlights. It is also easier to work with than Linear.

What I would suggest is converting several pictures using both Normal and Combined and see which you like better.
