I need to run some tungsten video lights on a shoot, but I don't want to plug into the walls because I am unfamiliar with thier circuits and I don't want to blow their circuits. Any suggestions for portable ac power packs, etc. Buying a strobe/power pack system is not not an option at this moment. I have video lights and that's what I need to work with. Any thoughts?

I'm assuming that what you want is a battery-powered system. Sam's Club has some portable power packs that have a gel-cell battery and an attached 300-watt inverter. This rig should run your setup, but the question is: for how long? You need to know how much current your lights draw, and calculate the draw on the battery. These power packs aren't huge, by any standards, but maybe two or three of them would do for you?

Another option, depending on the location, would be a small generator. We use a Honda EU1000i for camping, and it's so quiet that even at full load (800 watts continuous) you can carry on a normal conversation with the generator at your feet.
