Been there many times...did you get a shot of the aerodynamic shaped memorial up on the hill?

Excellent shot of the main building!
We visited there in October. Fantastic museum. Here is a shot of the bronze sculpture memorial behind Kill Devil Hill across from the museum itself. It was like entering the past to see this as we came around on the walkway.

This sculpture must me new! I've never seen it before (the last time I went was in 2006).

Not sure when it was erected but it is on the south side of the hill, and we would have missed it if we hadn't started driving out of the park and decided to go around that way.

See my post "Exposure Time....?"
Of course I took shots of it too. Also of the monument. Maybe I could show you tomorrow, if you like.
Thx for comments :)

Good shots of the photographer, better exposed than mine.
Did you take some inside the museum? It would be nice to see the others you took.
We have some of the displays that I can post also.

These are excellent shots of the runway and the monument.
You have a real talent for composing the shot.
Amazing you could grab these images with no other people around. The day we were there in October it was almost impossible to get a picture without a crowd scene included. I will try to get time to post a few others by the weekend.

The shot of the Wright Brothers Monument is fantastic...and with the child holding the hand of his/her parent on the walk is like a Norman Rockwell painting. You should have posted this one as your opener - that is framable.

Great shots. Hard to get a shot of the museum without other visitors in the shot. And the memorial behind the hillside is very nice and yes, its fairly new.

I agree, the ones I have from inside are less than spectacular because of the other tourists in the scene.
Here is one more of the memorial:

That's easy to do Daxie, in the last shot I posted I was paying too much attention to the pointing figure and cropped off too much of the plane.
