My attempts from tonight. Might try again earlier tomorrow, kept battling trees tonight, need to catch it higher. Using my 900mm telescope with prime focus (f/11 equivalent). It was hard to focus because once I magnified in live view the dang thing would shake out of frame every time I touched the scope to focus it...lol
All crops obviously

Same pic as above, but I upped the exposure in DPP when I noticed this little star next to it

Nice, I've managed to view Venus recently with my 1200mm, but my photos were all nowhere near as clear as yours! ;)

Thanks! I'm hoping it clears back up tonight because I really want to try again. I'd love to try and get one of that comet, but I just don't have a clear view from home.

Very nice...Have you ever tried an electronic focuser? I wouldn't go out at night without mine...:)

Sean , if you live there in Ky then you have a clear view unless it's cloudy . It is close to the star regulus in the Leo constellation tonight then it moves on each night . Good luck !

The problem I have is a LOT of trees, houses and light pollution on the horizon, especially to the east. I'm sure I could drive a little ways from the house to get a better view, but my scope doesn't break down small enough to fit in the car without taking half of it apart...lol
Cloudy and cold here again anyway...ready for clearer skies and warmer temps!

Well if you can drive out aways it would be worth it if it's clear enough for you . Sorry :( . Heres my shot of Venus i took with a Celestron NexImager last week .

Nice. That's about the zoom that I got the next night using the 3x barlow on my scope. Posted that in another thread. Of course it wasn't any where near that sharp...lol

Mine is made by Orion. It has a small motor that mounts to one of your focus shafts. The controller is adjustable as to speed of focusing. Great for fine focusing w/o having to touch the scope.
