Welcome! I'm a bit of a newbie too, have learned a lot already and even brought a nifty fifty lens on the strength of the images in a thread about the lens.

I haven't CC'ed before, so here goes from a 'conscious incompetent': Like the image, the light casting on the wall appeals to me. The almost monochromatic look is really neat. The only thing I'd suggest would be remove the reflections in the doors - the brighter reflection in the rear door is a bit distracting.

What is it, a lexus or something?

Sweet pic. Possibly a different crop would've brought some more composition to the shot and to add to Tbirder the front quarter panel is a little hot. Isf's are sick!

Thanks guys! I took out some of the reflection in the door panels. I'll also work on keeping the front quarter panel from being so hot.

Yes, it's a Lexus IS-F.

Project L. What kind of cropping improvements would you suggest? A little tighter, or more of the background? I'm really trying to improve the impact of my shots, as that seems to be a real weak spot for me. I think "seeing" a better crop will help.

What kind of cropping improvements would you suggest? Try to leave more room at the front for it to "move into". Post #4 in:

You might it farther from the wall & throw the wall a bit out of focus (OOF).

Nice shot! But don't expect it to work that well with a black car! ;)

Huh. Now that I look at it, you are right that it looks like the wall is sharper than the car. It's a mild HDR, so that might have something to do with it.

Thanks for the cropping suggestions. I'll give those a shot when it stops raining again!
