3 minutes stacked on Lulin. It's a fast mover so this was 3 x 1 minute subs. I will have a go at 3 minute subs tonight.

150 minutes on Centaurus A. 10 x 15 minute subs.

Imaging with Orion Starshoot III on Skywatcher ED120

Guided with Orion Starshoot Autoguider on Skywatcher ED80

EQ6 mount.

Great shot!

I am thinking of getting into astronomy/astrophotography myself, and I have been pondering a Sky-Watcher 100ED + Meade LXD75 mount + 1Ds MkII + some cheap 80mm as guide scope. My only concern is whether LXD75 mount is sturdy enough to handle all that weight, although it is rated for 30 lbs? FYI, I'm leaning toward LXD75, as SW's own EQ5 Pro, as it is rated for only 20 lbs.

I noticed you have EQ6 mount - as I understand it is rated for 40 lbs; what's your total load weight currently, and do you find that it's handling the weight w/o any issues? Please let me know - thanks!

Nice Lulin Capture. We have not had clear sky since its arrival!

@BBig - The EQ6 Pro will handle the quoted weight well as long as it is all well balanced. The weak point is the clutches which if it is loaded and out of balance will lead to issues. I have had a W/O FLT110, W/O Mz 70 and an TAK FS85 all on mine at the same time with a 5D and SX camera and guider. Dont know how much that all weighs but I would not want to carry it far!!!!!. The EQ6Pro is a good mount for the money and responds well to guiding. Will handle your proposed setp with some ease.
