I just got my Canon 50D yesterday and just had to break it in with a burnout shot, since I mainly shoot racing and custom trucks and cars.

Taken with a Canon 50D with a canon 28-135mm IS
Testing out the 3200iso setting, it preformced pretty nice. I did a bit of Noise Ninja on it, but I don't like that plugin a lot so it's not very heavy.

Yeh he was like "So you want to meet me somewhere?" and I go "Hell no, I want a ride in it!" Hahah.

Very cool truck. The first shots position with the burnout of the second would be cool.

I'll be sure to do that next time, I just got my Canon 50D last night, and wanted to get a burnout shot before it got too dark so my planning and camera settings were rushed. I know it's bad to do that, but I was too excited. And to be honest, I was not sure which way the smoke would go, or which way the truck would slide around(note how his front wheels are turned, that's because the rear end slid around)

Those look pretty good at that ISO. Brighter highlights in the hood would be nice.

No just a normal blazer with a vette motor in it.

Yeh I didn't have much time to mess with the settings(other than shutter speed and iso) and I only had the camera for a couple hours before that, it was a totally rushed shot. I'll reshoot that same shot(maybe different location) this weekend.
