I want to connect my cactus triggers to my flash without having to mount the cactus on the lightstand because they are flimsy and sit high! My flash is a canon 550ex without pc connection.
I would attach a lanyard to the cactus and let it hang from the stand.
I cant figure out if I need a hot shoe to pc or a pc to hot shore ....or if they are the same.
Here are a few that I have found locally

Thanks!

damn - 3 hours and no reply?
anyway, You can use any I believe, but I know first hand that the firt procut, the Hama, will work. and you are going to need a stroboframe hot shoe clamp to replace the one on yoru light stand. This is the peice:

replace your umbrella swivel with the stroboframe and then pop the Hama pc hot shoe onto your 550EX and then mount all this to your light stand. plug the cactus in and fire in teh hole!!.
PS - I just wrap a rubber band around my flash to hold the cactus trigger tight. I own the stuff I just told you about and I bougth it from MPEX. Good thing you live by them cause I will never order another thing from them again online

They are flimsy, we broke 3 last season, looking for another cost effective solution, but for now the rubber band trick does work.

my umbrella swivel has that same top on it so I should be fine right? Darn..that harma is the most expensize of the 3 too! I am not sure what you are saying about the rubber band but I was going to attach a lanyard and let the cactus hang from that.
can anyone tell me this? Is a hotshoe to pc the same as a pc to hotshoe ?
