DVD for newbie Advice!

I am new to the dslr world. It has been bought to my attention I should either take a camera class or invest in a dvd or online class. Several people have recommended the Crash Course for XSI by Michael Andrews. Any thoughts? Any other suggestions? Thanks to all on this forum in advance. Lenny

Welcome! Do as much reading as you can stand- only cost you time and an internet connection. This forum has a wealth of info for a start. The USA Canon site also has free courses:

Tons of books at your library, look into: Understanding Exposure
When you can afford it, a beginner/ intermediate course will help greatly.
