I have recently been producing pop art style prints using my Canon i9100. Results have been great up until now. For some reason, at the end of each print I am getting a horrible faded series of lines which are ruining them. The problem has only just started occurring and I've had my printer a month. It seems to only happen when printing borderless but that is what I need to do.

I am using photo paper pro glossy. I know when you select borderless printing in the options panel it tells you that staining may occur depending on the type of media used. To me, this is a joke. I didn't spend £300 on a printer for it to stain all my work.

Anyone had similar experiences or have any suggestions on how to put a stop to this?

Thanx

Try raising the head ever so slightly, this cured the problems close to the end of prints when using thicker paper on my i9100.

Cheers

OK, thanks a lot for that. I will try lifting the print head slightly.

I cleaned the print head and after that I had one print come out unscathed. Then it started happening again. :(

I can't understand it. It happened a couple of times when I first got the printer. I then realised I had the print media settings wrong so I changed it to Photo Paper Plus Glossy and everything was fine. Now out of the blue it is leaving these dreaded lines again. I can hear a sort of scratching sound at the end of each print.
