I took this photo about 14 months ago.

The artist would like the hi rez version for use in printing it as a poster.

I've shot dozens of shows for this artist, and we've never really discussed money. Mostly because when I took this, it was my first concert shoot with a DSLR. It was really a educational session for me.

Anyway, what would you guys charge, and how would you phrase things?

thanks

how big is the print run? I guess you have to figure out what sort of revenues that they might pull in, and price accordingly. you don't want to overprice and make them turn down the project entirely.

There are a few pricing calculators in the PA FAQ. Have a look there to get a "baseline".

Agree with Narlus on the rest.

I remember the shot. Wasn't this used for a sticker as well?
Might be problematic to get those colors across in print (CMYK) ;)

Thanks! It was used for a limited printing of buttons. This time around they want to use it for album artwork, and possibly other promo materials.
