Well, at least it looks hardcore to me, a non-climber. I think that technically, this is considered rappelling, not climbing. This was in Joshua Tree National Park in southern California. Just a couple hours from LA!

It's climbing, rappelling is a method of going down. I'd try cropping out the shadow on the left and showing just the climber on the rock. Nice shot.

I think the shadow adds to the pic. Excellent shot. Incredible blue sky, looks surreal.

This is so correct, Deuce. Having a large area of deep shadow like this is what gives the image dimension. Otherwise, it just looks flat (which is not a good thing).

Nice shot. That looks like a well traveled piece of rock. Looks like a very nice climb. If only I was 20 years old and 100 lbs lighter again!
